This is the answer:

"All of the above changes were made after building the Rev-A version, and to differentiate the
Minipulse Plus from either the Surf-PI or the Baracuda, particularly the ability for earlier sampling.


Therefore the Minipulse Plus was created as an improved version, with features that would provide something
new. It is hoped (with the help of this build document) that constructing the Minipulse Plus will be
less traumatic than building either the Surf-PI or the Baracuda, as there is only one trimmer that
needs to be adjusted"

its a good build, mines working great apart from cosmetics, instead of using a new enclosure i'm squeezing mine into a dead fisher1266 enclosure, along with a custom digital meter(as i'm deaf in one ear and like visuals).
the machine itself is good 2 stage preamp, sub 15us delay, vco and its an eric foster (modernised by george overton) design whats not to like.
