Good schematic?   Without working Coil Info it's Worthless.   Do you have the coil info?

I just did a bunch of reading on 3 machines , the Tarsos , the Cesar and the SWM [Serbia most Wanted] !!  LOL
Cesar and SWM are better projects .

The tarsos does not have separate channel design for GEB [ground balance] and Disc. [discrimination] ??

I think I will post complete project on the SWM 3.1 [Serbia Most Wanted]  Metal Detector , if I see good test results . PCB looks very professional with excellent control functions done by Geo .  See image :
I think SWM was started by Ivconic ?   I need to find schematic , parts list, coil data and frequency of this Cool SWM 3.1 Huh?
I am still researching on this topic .

Best Regards.............Eugene

Here's what i got on the so called "TARSOS VLF IB Metal Detector". The search coil is double D and there is an auto tune mod(see attachments)
There is also some video on you tube testing the machine. There are several pcb layouts as well. I did the vero layout because cannot find a single copper clad board on this island to make the pcb. will have to order some for future projects. The deal with me is to avoid high cost of materials when building projects as much as possible thereby making treasure finds all the more satisfying. A DIY mini CNC pcb drill could be the answer to drilling woes.

Yes you are right Xavier !!

And the Tarsos Project has three advantages :

1. Frequency is close to 14.8 khz , which is great for all-purpose Metal Detection .
2. Only 2 IC chips and one voltage regulator IC , Very inexpensive for all the parts !!
3. You can test this circuit with many Tesoro or similar search coils.  Or Build your own .

The other do it yourself projects I mentioned above [Cesar and SWM] are bigger , more parts and more features .

Best Regards.............Eugene

That would be cool! I used to get diamond burrs from my dentist and used them in the ole Dremel tool.

tarsos search coil. It looks like Tx:12+137=148 turns, Rx 157 turns. Both coils are 18cm diameter using  0.3mm wire. Double d. I think the text might be romanian but who knows.
