Hi Cornelius,
Are those DIY schematics your Job?
If yes, you could help many people...(me especially)
My dream is to build my own detector, but a serious one...
I've got a challenge for you, or anybody able to give us a
simple but efficient DIY schematic...I mean a schematic with
components you can all find at a single seller, and a simple board
(you know the one with straight copper strips you don't have to
make it do)...
If it could be a 17 or 18Khz, even better, with discri, headphones, etc...
regards,
               Edouard

Hi Edouard, how is your English?
When you mentioned using straight copper strip do you mean using the ?Stripboard? with holes already drilled.
I have designed a layout using ?Stripboard? for a ?Tesoro Bandido U Max II? on squared paper, showing where the components go and where the tracks are to be cut. It looks quite complicated, but should be straight forward if you follow the plan. The plan has been checked, but I have not built it yet.
Sometimes circuits built on ?Stripboard? can have noise problems. So be aware!!.
I have made the layout as small as possible, to fit a reasonable size box.
The plan looks a bit scruffy because it was drawn in pencil first and has become smudged. If you are interested I can scan the plan and the circuit together and post it on the message board, but first I need do some work to tidy it up.
If you want to buy the parts you can get them all from?  fr.farnell.com  ?
Please let me know Edouard if you are interested.
I hope this is of help to you.

Best regards Mike
