Where can I find inexpensive cases like the second picture? All I can seem to find is those that look like the first one. I need to fit a 6' x 4.5' pcb in it. Where do you buy yours from?

Start by looking where you got the picture from. That looks like a catalog photo.

Smarta$$. I did that already. In fact, I looked for hours. All of the ones I found were $30-$70. I was hoping to find some for a little less. I knew there were guys overseas who didn't pay as much and hoped to hear from them.

Watch it, Darren. That kind of language, even though masked, will get you a warning from some moderators.

Try Digikey. I am American, living in Australia. The boxes I used in the US were much less than that which you quoted. I wouldn't even know where to find them that expensive. McMasters or Mouser maybe, but that's about it. Pick up a copy of Circuit Cellar Ink and look in the ads in the magazine. You'll find something cheaper than that.

Aluminum enclosures are understandably more expensive as I found in the top pictures. But even Digikey charged $30 for a larger plastic one. I found one a little smaller that will suit my project for about $20. Thanks for the replies.
