Grin Grin Sound like you could have some fun in them garage sales mate, have you found any metal detectors yet in one of them garage sales? Ha yes here's a thing that I did with ferrite goodies, I crushed them to a powder then I use some epoxy resin and mix the powder to the resin so that it becomes a past BUT I use one tenth of the catalyst required, I then place all of the mixture in a mold and at the bottom of the mold a magnet from an old HDU. OK so here is what happens all the ferrite is pulled to the magnet and all the epoxy is left at the top of the mold but enough epoxy is within the ferrite powder to keep it all together and at the end of the day you have a bit of ferrite bit with shape that you want.

Have fun

Haa yes I did recycling of bins a lot when I was in Belgium, man did I find some great stuff in them, and some of it brand new, just try the ferrite trick it works and if the ambient temperature is too high just place it in the refrigerator that will slow down the hardening process of the epoxy, you will want it to stay about 72 hours before hardening just so that all the ferrite is at the bottom of the mold.
