Go Up Go Down

Hi,

Don`t know if you guys can access it yet, but am sure it will end up on you tube eventually, a new programmed was aired here in uk "Britains secret treasures" which has been whittled down from roughly 1,000 million finds down to 50 of which what some judges considered to be the finest finds, be it value or story.

They showcase the finds made by everyone an anyone from the public, be it with metal detector or not. The show is only on for a 5 consecutive days.

Tonights, covered a minature canon, palm of hand size (they made a reproduction of it and fired a small canonball) , A world war one honour medal returned to family with the story behind it, each find has a story to go with it.

Thought you guys might like to keep an eye out for this one.

Go Up Go Down

We have a similar program called America's Lost Treasures where they go looking for treasures for the National Geographic Museum.   One episode took place in Texas and included a map that belonged to Santa Anna, a saddle from an iconic rodeo rider, and a very ornate colt peacemaker that was the service revolver for a famous Texas Ranger captain.

The Texas Ranger revolver won that episode.
