Richard don't feel bad i am only 47 and waiting on a MEB board from the army so i can get my mobility scooter. I know how it feels to go from Standing and Walking to Riding and walking with a cane etc.
but u can still MD it just takes a little longer and sometimes u gotta have a little help.
Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

Karl:
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. Unfortunately, most places that I hunt are not accessable in a wheelchair or scooter. I'm usually treking in deep woods or climbing mountains or at least a hunt involving a long hike. .. But I'm trying.. To rebuild...

Gimp / Robert - one thing that does work is riding in the back of the John Deere gator sitting on the tail gate while the wife drives me around slowly so i can use the MD , it's a go anywhere machine and at least then i am riding instead of walking. so far we have done pretty good with it also.

Thanks Gimp we bought it to help out here on the farm hauling feed and square bales etc. and now its hauling me too. LOL  but seriously its been the best vehicle we have ever owned , heck i have even mixed concrete in the back of it , using a rubber mat in it , then just add the mix and the water etc.
every day i seem to find more and more uses for it, not even the atv 4wheeler gets used as much as the gator does.  Robert if u don't have one u should check into getting one , and with the turf tires it doesnt tear up the yard or sod etc. I have even hauled it to family reunions in the park etc, if fits right in the back of a 8' bed pick up.
