If you ever come across an old hotel thats being demolished try to find out where the Bar was because if you rip up the floorboard you will always find coins that have fallen through cracks underneath.  Also under the skirting boards by the walls.  They are the places to look.  seek and you will find ...... Oh nice find that one congrats

Now that is a nice looking coin! I can't wait to experience the feeling you get when you pull something like that out!

Great job!

Gold coins in Canada are not a commom find. I heard of another gold coin story. There was an old tavern being torn down, the coins were stashed in the chimney. Nice find. Cool

I have that coin a 1907, but that is in better shape. Mine has a small knick behind the bust.

I would be so all over that property with my MD Detecting.  Anyone who stashes gold in the floorboards, is likely to have stashed a cash of valuables out in a "safe" place in the ground.  I can't see someone having just one gold coin and going to the trouble of hiding it in the floor boards. There are more out there just waiting for you.  Go get em man.
