My / most expensive find
Bugar:
Not necessarily my best find, but certainly the most expensive appraised ring find of all time for me, found it with my Detector Pro-Land Pro, but actually could have been found with anything as it was in grass about 6 in tall at a soccer field parking area, right after i found it, a guy showed up with a monster lawnmower and mowed and wallowed around.
It appraised at MIN of $4,500.00, not counting the 2 smaller diamonds, my wife immediately grabbed it up, but after 46 yr of marriage=what the heck, so here it is, 14k with a 1 karat biggie and 2 smaller ones,=it is right purty=> but actually I'd just as soon find relics or artifacts- But Oh Well-ENJOY [wise]

Wow! Did you sell it or did the wifey stake her claim on it??? ;D Maybe that's why you had rather find artifacts ;)

Just a question about ring finds, who would you sell these to? Does a jeweler buy these, or.........

Bugar:
On that particular ring, jeweler would offer bout $125.00 for the gold mount/ring, and around $2000.00 for a 1 kt diamond, that's why I kept it, ya kinda get screwed on a deal like that ( but it's money you didn' have before), and the jeweler makes a good bundle off your find, so I just keep em. That is what I do.
If it is nice, and I like it, I just keep it.
The best return is to sell to an individual.
But with expensive stuff it is difficult to
find a buyer.
The cheeper matching gold and silver stuff
is easy. The girls at fast food places buy
jewelry.
Young women almost anywhere will jump
at the chance to buy a gold item for a lot
less than they have to pay at the store.
That is my take on it any.
Happy Huntin,
Tabdog
