While you are searching those Wisconsin regions, I have in the past, discovered native 'copper' floaters in plowed fields and in river bars.  Some of them are called 'half breeds' with silver inclusions beaten within the surface of these glacier 'hammered' specimens.  Meteorites are indeed a most rare find. I have a couple of blades hammered from meteoric iron from Greenland I purchased years ago while in the collecting mode.  Happy hunting!
