Anyone on here keep ferrets?
I think they are just about one of the most fun and intelligent of animals.
Here's a pic of my son and "Cookie".....

Go Up Go Down

When I first met my wife she had three of them.  Crazy critters... but a lot of fun.  She had the three ferrets, two cats and four dogs.  I had 4 cats and 5 dogs.  When we moved intogether our combined food cost for our critters was more than it was for us.  Over the last 8 years we've been together, we've lost all but 2 off the dogs... all to old age.  Lost 2 of the cats to old age, but somehow ended up gaining 2 more.  And lost the last of the three ferrets about a year ago.  It was a veritable zoo around here for a while.  We decided to just let the population dwindle from here on out.  We're getting too old and lazy to handle that many animals.  Both of the dogs are older than dirt, and I've been waking up every morning expecting to be digging holes for one or the other of them, but they keep kicking.  Three of the cats are old, and on their last legs.  I'll be digging holes for them soon I'm sure.

I'm telling you, as hard as it is to loose a critter, it's harder to have to dig that hole for them.  Ferrets aren't hard to bury, two scoops and you're done.  Cats not much harder than ferrets, but try digging a grave for a 180 lb Fila Brasileiro.
