We have a few members here from New Mexico. Homefire is one of them. He'll be along shortly. Whenever anyone mentions his name, it's like saying it three times in front of a mirror. He just shows up!

I split your post from the older one and gave it a new subject line. That way your query will get more attention and perhaps a better answer.

Welcome to these forums.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Ok thank you.  Can't wait.  I know or a fluorite mine that's three levels deep on the BLM in the organ maintains.  I would love to find some ghost towns in NM.

Welcome Fellow Land of Enchantment Person.

I've not played much in that area but I know you have some serious Gold just to the West of you.

Most of the Old Mines in NM have Bat Doors on them now so you can't get in them.

Ghoste Towns ?   There is a old site just about every 7 miles or so allong the Old Rail Tracks going West.

Really serious GOLD to the west?  Do you know where I can get info like maps and maybe some mineral reports from the 1800 to 1900?

Welcome from Arizona.    My brother cleared a lot of old dynamite from miners' shacks/camps while he was stationed there as EOD.  Told me they spent more time doing that than they did cleaning up modern stuff.
