I have found a all seeing eye carved on a very old tree on my family land here in Tn wonder if anything is there or should I look for more clues

new to treasure hunting I live very close to where civil war was like Parker cross road and the battle of johnsonvile witch is now call New johnsonvile I learn about the buried treasure like the one on dollar hill and the gold that suppose to be buried in Natchez  trace state park in witch use to be all of my family land till GOV took it from them So I know some good spot that may be good places to look at the one of dollar hill what if it not at dollar Hill but at dollar the town

I have no pictures at this Time but I will try to take one tomorrow if I can the carved all seeing eye is on a very big and tall tree way up high

I agree with Homie, the higher in the tree the better.  But you've got to understand, signs are subjective.  Until you successfully solve the riddle, you have no idea what the person who put it there was thinking or why they carved it.   They could just be someone (mason or otherwise) doodling.  Or they could have been some kids playing at burying treasure.   Then again, you could (stress could)have one of the very, very rare instances where sign like this might actually be tied to either some historical even or maybe even an real treasure.   Statistically the odds are probably heavily weighted against the latter.

Good to have you around.  Keep an open mind and prepare to do a whole lot of reading and exploring as you seek to solve that puzzle.

I do know more about the land around the civil war I know where old roads and trails are that most people don't even know they are there would love to meet up with some people and we go take a look at these places I know of also I know a place in Nachez Trace where it supposed to be haunted rumor has it that a very small battle was fought there in the civil war but it never has been recorded

one thing you can do is keep your eyes open for additional unusual markings on stones and cliffs as well as trees.   If you find them, try to keep them in context with both their surroundings and each other.  You aren't likely to solve any mystery based on one clue.......but see if you can estimate how old the mark might be based on the species of the tree, the current height and how much the tree would have grown if someone between 5' 5" and 6' 6" had carved it at roughly eye level either standing or sitting.
