I am really having a difficult time finding out where it is legal and not legal to metal detect in AZ. I called the BLM today and they said it is OK on any of there land. Unfortunately its very vague as to whether ghost towns that fall on BLM land are okay to detect on. I get different answers from different BLM people so its even more confusing. Anyhow does anyone know if its okay to detect at Gleeson AZ ghost town?

Thank you for your response. I'm going to head over to Gleeson today and hopefully talk to one of the locals and find out from them if it's okay to detect and if so where. If I can't find anyone I just won't detect today and I'll find out before the next trip out there. It's less than an hour from where I live so either way no big deal. But again thank you for taking the time to respond!!!
