Went to a local park with my kids and found a cool looking peanut knife using a garrett gta x550. We also found some coins. A couple of pennies and nickels but also some bottle caps and tin cans.  Detecting Overall it was pretty fun.

Welcome to THunting.com.   Sounds like a good start to the hobby.   Lots of great finds have been made with a GTAx 550.   Just be careful not to get too close to anyone else using a GTAx.   The cross-chatter will drive you nuts.

Speaking of nuts, did your peanut knife look like this
