Hello DetectingGreetings from Southeastern Georgia. Bare with me here, as this is the first time I've ever posted ANYTHING. I'm new to detecting, and find that choosing a metal detector is harder than deciding what kind of car to buy. I've narrowed my choices down to Fisher f4, f5, f70, and f75. I want to detect beaches, old homes/farms, parks, etc., pretty much in that order. Help me narrow it down to one model, and tell me why. Thank you.  Windrider

Hello Windrider! Welcome to THunting.com!

Well, I'd suggest you get the best machine you can afford to buy which would be the F75 out of those you have suggested. It has the best technical specifications (depth, disc etc.) of the ones you've named. Or if you would like to safe some money you could also go for a Teknetics which is the same machine but just a different name.

Hope to see some nice finds from you soon!

Best wishes,

Christian

Christian, thanks for the information on the MD's. I'll look into Teknetics before making a decision on which to purchase.
              Regards, Windrider
