hey another newbie here.  Hope I don't screw up to bad, this is the first time ever poating on one of these blog things if that is what you call it.  just trying to find some info... looking for a manual for my Garret Grand Master CX II.  Lost mine somewhere along the way.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, good news right off of the bat----according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, gold panning is permitted in State Forests land.

And speaking of the PA DCNR, if you haven't already been to their site, you probably want to go there and at least checkout the following two publications:

Now for the same spiel we give just about everyone wanting to know about where to hunt for gold inside the United States (and no, we don't get paid for this referral)....if you are seriously considering gold panning as a hobby, check out the GPAA.  What you get for the low membership price is well worth what you pay for it.   (and that's even if you don't ever use their claims guide to access one of the claims listed, although you'd be a little daft not to if you had the opportunity).
