Hello Everyone

(1/1)

n0xes:
I started as a member on this forum in 2011. then life fell apart. rebuilt my world since then and nearing retirement. Getting back into my interest. I live in Missouri, anyone in the area want to hunt shoot me a line. I have a few machines. An old sears that i think is a Whites 6000 Di Series 2 or series 3. It has the meter on the box but has target ID and Depth indicator.
Have a whites 4900 DL Max (its broken, think is a Voltage Regulator issue, thats why it was 30 dollars on ebay).  Same as the black box 5900 di pro sl (cb) except no display.
Have an MXT, Classie II and a Classic III.
Ordered the parts to do the Mr Bill mods on the Classics. Now I just need to get out and do some detecting. I haven't been out a lot but have found interesting things when i do.
found a nice silver cross at a kids playground that was in the ground for some time. Found a couple war nickels. Now i live in Saint Charles MO so researching places to hunt.

P.S.
I thought i posted in the new section years ago but i may have overlooked it.

Thanks, nice to be back. I remember this forum and really liked the content. Im also on Geotech.  Seams like to two more interesting ones ive located.
I have the 4900 DL MAX ( has  issues) and the sears model 321.596170 labeled DEPTH & TARGET DISPLAY: G.E.B/DISC TR. The board is a 505-0129-1 and the display control
daughter board is 505-0130-1. Trying to figure out what whites model number it equates to. I know the manual was dated !/84. Im thinking of photographing and posting my findings
during the troubleshooting and repair to post here. really like the looks of the sears machines, silver and gold but whites quality.

Welcome back to this forum and to the hobby.  Good luck with your hunting for goodies.

This forum is much less active than it was before Covid struck.  During the pandemic the posts dropped sharply and never did build back up.  A few of us keep watching and hoping it will pick up again, but it has been really slow coming back.

Look forward to your future posts.

Hopefully things will pick up. Its a good forum. I have about six weeks before it starts getting to cold to dig. Starting to cool down where i am. I was in Perth in September in 1987. I think it was
spring then. Does that sound correct ? Its fall in Missouri now.

Correction:

Your in Oregon. Getting my post mixed up. I was stationed at Whidbey Island Wa. from 1984 till 1987. Deployed with VAQ-139 EA6B squadron out of San Diego Ca aboard
the USS Constellation (CV-64).  I did enjoy Washington State. when i was off work i spend my time going to Mount Baker, or Deception pass state park.

Made a mistake.  I had a brain glitch and got confused with another forum.  This forum has continued on very active through all the troubles of the last few years.  It has been active and well all along.  Sorry about the mic-up.  :o

Hi Carl,

I just checked on the ART and the last post was mine in early July 2023.  Since covid it has slowed way, way down.  I miss it a lot.
