Thanks for the welcome. Semiretired means that I had retired but the jobplace ended up shorthanded due to unexpected loss of personnel so they asked if I could work some for awhile.. Dedication or stupidity, I'm not sure which I should call it.... No no!. My current main detector is the V3i which I received the middle of last summer and am still learning how to use. It is a very capable unit with a lot of bells and whistles. I have and love the wireless headphones.. I do wish I could hipmount the machine and have less mass to swing.. The 15 year old XLT currently in for repairs and tuneup. Lost all audio output, no schematics so I had to send it out. A real good machine. I use it as a backup as well as a loaner when I hear that someone wants to try their hand at the hobby.. Anyway; perhaps I will see some of you out and about at one time or another if not on the board. I may not always be here as I do have slllooooowww diiiaaallluppp. Only thing available here deep in the woods in the middle of no place... Love the peace and quiet but could use some of the conveniences of modern civilization..
