Hello,
     My uncle recently gave me his phantom metal detector by Richard ray 80'. He showed me but my niece messed with all the controls. I can't wait to start posting things I find. Can u help

   Welcome to the forum from New Mexico.   Those ole Troy Detectors were Top of the line.  Do you have the Manual for it ?  If not Post a photo of the controls and we can get you going.  The Phantom is some what a True Phantom .  There was only a handful of them made and documentation is hard to come by.

The guy who made them originated out of Tesoro Detectors as a side line.  Went independent, went bust and I think ? ?? Is tied with Fisher Detectors at this time.  Don't know for sure.
