Welcome at THunting.com!

Now, I'm curious what you have dug up there?  Shocked

I have made som very good finds hunting in forrests as the soil will usually preserve the relics well and no farmery machines will hit and evetually destroy them.

I hope you got something good where you shovel marks the spot!

Thanks again for coming aboard,

Christian

i had a leed from a map dowser which was suppose to have a lot of gold bars their at this spot, dug and dug and nothing but a good practice for the real thing, this is close to where the sherman march to the ocean took place and this is on a silk plantation all grown up had  fun trying, better luck next time p.s. its also on private property which i got permission to go on, all of this took place on around 1888s cival war

Welcome to the forum Gadget.

Something You should understand about  map Dowsing.
X usually does mean  "dig here" and get rich. X indicates a  starting point for your search within a certain proximity. The metal detector in the photo would never penetrate deep enough to find the type of treasure you appear to be looking for.

from what I see at a quick dowse  there does appear to be a quantity of Gold, possibly coins, about 40 feet to the right of the photo.

Just on the  other  side of the tree, possibly a glass jar containg a small Gold coin, a few Silver coins, and a document, buried circa 1943.

About 6 feet to the left of the metal detector, there is possibly 5-10 pounds of Silver bars, wrapped in Lead, buried 8-10 feet deep by a Frenchman, circa 1776.  He appears to have buried several  small caches in that area.

I find this to be rather common that certain areas will have several different  treasures buried over the course of several hundred years.   Good Luck!
