Bounty Hunter Big Bud & Bounty Hunter Tracker I-D/505
« on: October 04, 2016, 07:34:31 pm »
Go Up Go Down

I know nothing about metal detecting. Understanding the detectors seems to be the hardest thang for me to decipher.

I am in the North East corner of Texas. I can't walk nor stand very much, but I manage to do a little, with the help of a 5 gallon bucket with a padded seat on top.

I have a Bounty Hunter Tracker I-D/505. It has two knobs on the front with the operating instructions under the knobs. I think I have figured it out, somewhat. I also have a Bounty Hunter Big Bud. It has three knobs on the front and a toggle switch on the bottom at each side of the handle. There is a tag in one of the battery compartments that says "Tennetics, Inc., Bounty Hunter, TK-85-7031. I found a picture of one that looks just like my Big Bud, but it is called a "Big Bud XL". Mine does not have "XL" on it anywhere.

I have been lookin fer a pdf manual, with pictures, but have had no luck. Without pictures I don't know if the model manual matches my detector.

I'm a 70 year old invalid trying to git out of the house more often. I've always liked being outside when the weather permitted.

Mule

Welcome to the Forum.  Looking around for your manual I came across your unsuccessful hunts on other forums .  I think the issue is your machine is the Big Bud marketed by Radio Shack made by Bounty hunter but it's not using a Radio Shack Part Number.

Does it have a Red Button on the top of the handle ?

Currently  looking in this mess.  Just takes  me time.   I'll find it.
