Hello all. My username is Cyberborikua  Hello. This is amazing! This forum is intact. Same as when I paused visiting a few years! Even the same icons  Grin. I used to be a woods detecting aficionado, but Illinois decided that we could no longer hunt in the woods and my activity was slowed down.  I also got into classic cars which also slowed down my beloved hobby. I am now back into detecting but more so in my Island, Puerto Rico, when I visit every summer. You can see my old findings and postings all over the forum. I'm glad to be back and will visit often. Where are my favorite moderators?Huh?  Wise

Glad to see you back! How did your family do during the hurricane? You crossed my mind often during those horrid days, mate.

Hi GD!!! Nice talking to you again. Thank you for keeping us in mind. That is much appreciated, mate. My family did relatively fine but they had no power for 3 months. My house suffered structural damage. A brand new replacement roof I had put 2 months earlier was gone and the house flooded 5 times on the aftermath due to torrential rains. I handled temporary repairs to the roof through my relatives in the Island as traveling over was basically impossible. Difficult was also to find construction materials and contractors, everybody was busy. I traveled last December and threw out doors, furniture, clothes, and many other things that got damaged. My insurance helped with the money to laydown a new roof and for replacing doors and furniture. Still a work in progress. Going again this summer to complete the repairs. But, certainly, my beautiful Island got badly hit by Maria and will take years to recover. There is still people in some remote areas with no power or water. We are lucky compared to them. I will post pictures later. Thank you my friend!

Thanks for the report. I have ham radio friends over there (who I have never met in person) who relayed condition reports during and after the storm. They also relayed more than 10,000 messages to relatives stateside over the past many months.

Really glad you're all right. Prayers work.
