Beachcomber by Savo Electronics

Hello to everyone, I am new to to this site, and to metal detecting. I have found a Savo 'Beachcomber' multi coil 4B detector lying in the back of my old Dad's garage. It must be 30 - 40 years old I'm guessing. It fired up fine but I am clueless as to how to use it. Can anyone help me to find an instruction manual for it - I gather Savo is no longer in Business. I live in an area of France that was the centre of the resistance movement during the war, in fact my farm and fields were used for munitions drops and storage - I have found boxes of ammo stored in the old house (not uncommon I'm led to believe here in the Limousin) - so I'm interested to see what else I can find.
Thanks for any help - Mike

Hello Mike, if it is that old then it is likely an All-Metal machine (without discrimination) or a rather early IB or VLF machine offering you some basic metal id and discrimination. If you can post a picture of the control housing we sure can help.

Best wishes,

Christian
