Dan, a good mate of mine here offered me a split on his lease and I couldn't turn him down. It's not a huge producer but it pays for each trip up and back plus a bit. He's getting on a bit and wanted someone to go with him to the outback. It takes a full day to get there. We stop just before the lease for one night at a country pub and hotel before we rough camp at the lease. We drink rainwater or water we bring with us and cook food we bring or the occasional kangaroo. Life is so good sometimes.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

That soundes like a great way to spend time.

I am too old to dig much any more. But I still
deam about prospecting. I would so mmmuch
like to find a little nugget, not too little, just
30 ounces or so, I aint greedy,, lol

But the best bet for gold here comes in the
forum of jewelry.

The parks is where I do my prospectin.

But I do some dreamin in tha OutBack.

Thanks fer tha story,

Tabdog

TabDog, every grain of gold is horsepower heavy. I dig and dig and dig and dig and sometimes find a one gram speck or the occasional nugget. Next time up, we're bringing a drywasher I built. It's electric with a deep cycle battery and solar panel. Woo hoo! Eco friendly and everything.

A 30 ounce nugget is in the small side for my goal. I want a 75 ounce nugget or bigger.
