Hi guys. I'm a new member with an e-trac that I've had about 5 weeks now. I have been struggling along with it and thought I might pick up a few tips from the old pros.

Welcome, stelbat. 
       The number 1 tip is "read the manual" at least twice and then go out and practice (and pay attention to what's happening) so when you get back a read the manual again, the "ah-ha" light bulb goes off).
        The number 2 tip is if you are going to ask for help, it helps if you are as specific as possible regarding the problem you are struggling with.   Just "I have been struggling along with it" covers a lot of ground--and some of the things you are struggling with might be general hunting technique issues that non-minelab users can help with.....for instance, try slowing down your swing speed.
