I'll be in Bradenton, FL for the next 6 months or so.

Where are the best spot for using my metal detector and are there any beach restrictions?

Beach access is the only problems you may encounter.

Don't know that area really.

Just Remember that Florida State Law states the Area of the beach between High and Low Tide is Public grounds no matter what anyone else says.

Welcome from Arizona.   The more you know the history of your area the better you'll be at identify good hunting sites.   There are some great beach sites in your immediate area, especially the areas that had or have resort hotels.

Welcome Swampdog. If ya get tired of detecting maybe you can help find the Pittsburgh Pirates some pitching. They will be there also. I've hunted up to Sarasota but haven't made it to Bradenton. Good luck.

Swampdog, Across the skyway bridge is Ft. Desoto park. This is a Pinellas County park and they allow detecting on the beach. I have a permit I got from the ranger there but I've never heard of them checking a permit. Happy hunting.  Waveing
