Been awhile since I have logged on, after using the Excalibur 11 for over 7 years I got the equinox 800 last month and was a little intimidating at first..at 72 years young new equipment learning curve comes slow. Thanks to utube videos "gigmaster"  on how to set up your machine for both beach and park I have enjoyed the beach hunt . First hunt found 35 coins  and a 10 ct. small gold ring. This machine is impressive picking up multiply targets and identifying them  with the number display. Nice and light .I will be getting into the advanced setting soon. Only have about 12 hours so far on the beach. I am along the jersey shore and expecting strong winds Sunday and Monday. possible beach condition will be in my favor..White Water.
