Hello, I just dropped in to see what the site is all about from Treasure Net. I ive in Manitoba, Canada. That is north of North Dakota. I hunt, fish and prospect around Manitoba by motorcycle and sidecar, and Jeep. Amazing the places you can get into with the rig. It is winter here now, snow, and the ground is frozen, so not much digging. I'll be moving to the Philippines in about 5-6 years when I retire to find some of the Japanese gold supposedly down there. on board, sounds like your life is one great adventure, no snow here in Britain as yet but wont be long with the temp falling below freezing so getting out while i still can, keep the adventure going and good luck

Welcome

to our forum. I hope you will be having a good time in the Philippines. However be carefull. Most guys involved in the Yamashita trade down there are either ripp offs or plain dreamers. Good luck!

The Philippines is a beautiful country and islalnds, and so are MOST of the people. There are always the scammers and bunko artists. Especially since the internet opened the world to fast communication.. There is also lots of gold mining in the Philippines in the back country. My wife and her parents did a lot of panning of river runs after big storms/typhoons years ago when it was still safe to go into the back areas and rivers. Now, if the crocodiles don't gettcha, the rebels might..I'll be glad to retire in the warmth in a few years.. Doug
