HI ALL ,I am glad to join your group I am a retired mechanic-welder & live in a small town in the mid-north of south australia , at 70y/old I like to play guitar & build some electronic project's to suit ..
I have a cheap-chinese detector [gc1006] ,but years ago also did some frustrating detecting with another cheapy-detector ,..
BUT as a pensioner [lack-of-large-funds] I would like to build a better detector [preferably from a kit[ board & component's] ..
I have a brother-in-law who has much success with his detector hobby..
