Hey everyone,

I was prompted to introduce myself but didn't see an introductory thread so am making a new one (I think I'm actually in the intro forum now that I look at the top of the page...lol)..

Came over via a link from geotech and look forward to checking everything out here.

Love the mountains, outdoors and just about everything to do out there. Am an avid hunter since age 6 and have never missed a season yet (almost 49 now), enjoy metal detecting, camping, fishing, hiking and anything that will get me to the mountains.. I'm in Nor Cal and live in some prime gold country around the Yuba and feather rivers.

Everyone calls me Geo so that will work here too I guess...

Anyhow, good to be here and hope to find some cool and interesting stuff...

Welcome o the forum, Geo!   Welcome  My dad grew up around Oroville and worked in a couple of mines in the area as a young man.  I had lots of aunts and uncles living around the Yuba City/Marysville area in the 40's, 50s and 60's.  All of them have passed on now.  I may have a few of the later generation relatives living around there now, but don't really know.  Enjoy the forum.
