Dear Treasure hunters,

I am happy to join this great site and look forward to getting and (I hope !) sharing information with you.
I must admit, up to now I have been more interested in MD technology and characteristics than in hunting itself. It might change, since I am the happy owner of some nice detectors (Tejon, Sovereign XS2a, XP Gold Maxx Power...) and really want to use them as much as possible !
I already browsed some posts and could appreciate the high knowledge and skills of some members.  Cheesy

Hi JoeChip4, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll enjoy detecting as you never know what you'll find. Hope you find some nice old items as that opens up another new area - identifying. All in all, it's a fun activity. Sue

Hay Joe,

Thats some fine machines you got there.

It is a little odd. Usually guys with a lot
of tech knowledge are also experienced
detectorist.

Just forget all that tech stuff. Get in a
zone.

Then you get out what you put in, fun.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

Hello,
Thanks for the warm welcome !

My projects related to treasure hunting encompass very specific types of hunting (plus forest hunting):
- urban treasure hunting (not very easy in France, might be forbidden in many places ... I will enquire); I intend to build my own discrete shafts for that purpose (why not ?)
- finding nice minerals (the rare ones that kindly follow Maxwell laws and can be detected) and ores (I do not expect gold nuggets in France but some areas are full of beautiful/collectible stones, such as Pyrites...).
- build a PI MD. I know I am at the right place here !

a bientot,

Joechip.
