Hi jewaugh...I am in Suffolk..What part of Chesapeake are you in? My boyfriend who passed away Apr.2010 was from Great Bridge. We had bought a MD before he got sick but never got to go MDing. I am just now feeling like I want to go out and do something. I have been lucky enough to run into an old friend who used to go MDing before his brother passed away. He and I are planning on going soon I hope. I used to run a horse farm in Whaleyville and I'm thinking about going and asking my old boss (the owner) if she will let us come hunting out there. I also want to go out to the beach. I would like to go out there in the evening but safety is what I worry about. When you go out to the beach what time do you think is best to go?

Emily;
I live in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake.
Sorry to hear about your boyfriend.
Suffolk should have some great areas to detect, especially if you want to search for Civil War relics. Also alot of old buildings out that way.
I try to go to the beach a couple of hours before low tide and work for 2 to 3 hours.
Keep in touch, maybe we can get together for a hunt.
