Hello All and a Big Thanks for allowing me to join the Group.I am 60yrs old, retired and living in East Riding of York, about 13 miles from city of York,UK. I use 2 detectors,a Golden Mask 4S 18khz with a 12x10 SEF coil, also a 7in DD coil for getting amongst the iron, and also a Minelab Musketeer Advantage 5khz with 10 in DD coil.In the last 2 months I have found 5 silver hammered coins from medieval times and 2 bronze Roman coins also as well as many military buttons.I will try to get some pictures of these up on here when I get the hang of it to show you how small some of the older coins  were  from many years ago,Happy Hunting All. Hi salford and Welcome from Utah! Those silver hammered coins sound great! Be sure to post your new finds (with pictures) in the 'todays finds' thread in this forum.

Happy Hunting!

Hello and welcome from Connecticut. Will be looking forward to seeing some of your coins. Looks like you are all set up detector wise. Years ago I used the UK Arado 120. a fine machine in its day. Not much medieval items here in Connecticut but some items date to the latter 1600s.
