Hello group: I just found this site, and joined up. Sounds like an interesting site. I am fairly new to Metal Detecting,and
have just purchased a new Garrett,ACE250 Metal Detector and am enjoying using it. I have heard it is a good detector,
and it seems to be. I also have 2 Bounty Hunter Detectors which are good. I live in Arkansas,and would like to hear
from any detectorists who enjoy metal detecting,and are more experienced about the use of metal detectors and who
enjoy going hunting. I live in the pope county area,and there are,no doubt lots of good sites to hunt. I have lived in
Russellville since 1947,and I know of old fair and rodeo grounds,old school yards,and other good sites,but haven't a car
or truck to get to lots of them,I ride a bicycle,and the town has grown from a population of 8,000 to what it is today--
approximately 25,000, so the traffic is getting too hectic to go very far,as the roads now are mostly 4 lanes. I can drive,
just can't afford a car. I work full time at the college cafeteria,so I don't have lots of time to enjoy my hobbies. Well, so
much for my first post. Looking forward to hearing from more members and reading more posts.
