Hi Everyone
New to the forum, been metal detecting for about 10 years. Started out with a Garrett 350 and then a Shadow X2, Whites XLT, several Tesoros, finally discovered Minelabs! Started with the Explorer XS and made many great finds with it. Not long ago I was offered a used etrac, purchased it and used it for a short time but didnt like it. I ended up trading it for a Minelab SE Pro along with a Sunray x8 coil and really love it.  Dennis (Indiana)

Hello Dennis,

Welcome to our forum! I was amazed at reading you traded the eTrac for a SE !? I thought they were basically identical in their handling but for the eTrac having improved depth and discrimination?

Best wishes,

Christian

Christian
The two machines are much different to me. The etrac has different ID response as well as audio. I had my SE out today for just a short time at a ballfield, founds 9 clad quarters, 6 dimes and 4 pennies (1 being a 42 wheatoe, no silver but is still fun. I just didn t care for the etrac that much.   Dennis
