Go Up Go Down

Hello!
Just joined this great site.
Last days I looked for info about metalldetectors to built.
I found much. I want to make a csoise between these:

- Pulse 1+2 Metal Detector from Gary
- Hammerhead
- DBP 2010 (I got the schematic from Eugene, thanks !)

Which one is the best ?

Peter from Holland

Peter if you have never built a metal detector don't start on the DBP2010 . If you know a bit about electronics and you have built detectors before you can go ahead with the DBP2010 . There is no better detector available  ( That is PI detector )  . On the 1 meter X 1 Meter coill you can go as deep as 3 meters  . On the smaller coils 3 feet is nothing to be amazed about .  I have built two units so I know what I am talking about .  Cornelius

Thanks for the reply.

Some years ago I made many different transmitters in the FM-radio ranch, for a pirat-station.
Because of the internet I quit with this.
Now I am very interested in LED-lights for cars and other use, and making a good metalldetector.
Specially because we many times go to Hungary, and I want to try it there.
Have to say that I am a bit scared for finding bombs. Hope I do not find them!

I think it will be the DBP-2010. I only look for some testing information.
Maybe somebody has the book?

Greetings,
Peter from Holland

Hello Peter and welcome to thunting. I have lots of admiration for people who could build their own detectors. Best of luck to you on your project and your digging.

Number 1 is fuzzy. Numbers 2,3,4,& 5 are clear and readable. It takes all four for the complete locator.
