I just got back into metal detecting this year after a rather long 8 years of not being active in this hobby.  I am 49 now and got my first detector when I was 13 a long time ago.  At 13 I remember my best friends brother had some treasure magazines and as soon as I thumbed through the pages I was hooked for life.  I love finding old coins or anything else of value or curiosity for that matter.  I belong to several other forums so this will just give another place to spend some time relaxing in the evening while my wife watches the television.  I picked the bull terrier avatar because we have four rescue dogs and my favorite is Gladys who is a black and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  People say she is a bully breed but she is the biggest baby of the bunch.  Anyway, look forward to spending some quality time in this forum.
