welcome Roby!
Make a small test garden with a couple of coins and some of your lead. Turn up your discrimination just slightly until the lead drops out or has a different sound from the coins. Homefire is correct. Every time you come across a new target and dig it, you learn a little more. Plus, digging all the targets will clear the area for when you return with better skills. you will be surprised to find targets that you missed...this is from a newbie. It gets better in a hurry if you are paying attention to what the machine is telling you. happy hunting! Poptop!

Welcome aboard! Laser is anotehr brandname for Tesoro and lead will unfortuanbtely give you an excellent signal as it is a good metal. You could set your machine to discrimnate it but this would also do away with all the coins and other good stuff. Hence you will unfortuantely have to go for the the lead as well.

Best wishes,

Christian

welcome from Arizona.   That's a good detector you have.  Treat it well and take the time to get to know it.   The effort will pay huge dividends.
