Welcome to the group from a Texan in exile......

As for the Singer Ranch House, I spent some time researching this about 15--20 years ago.   As far as I could ascertain, the ranch was located south of the modern Port Mansfield channel.    That would put it outside of the Padre Island National Seashore.   Whether it is on public or private land would require additional research as land status has changed since I did my research.   I will tell you that the target area is pretty desolate.  Unless you've got a boat of some sort you'll probably have a tough time getting there since it is at the north end of South Padre Island.   On the other hand being desolate also reduces the number of prying/curious eyes.

Yeah from my understanding about 26 miles from the southern most tip.  Just north of the cameron and willacy county line.  I have a friend that runs the aransas co tax office and he is going to try and see if he can find the property owner.  Let's keep in touch man

Port Mansfield channel   um if you are looking there be warned...  part of it is off limits to Detectors big time because of the Spanish 3 gold filled ships that sunk there years ago ....hehehe i would have loved to go there but i will not face loosing my detectors or prison time there

Are those seven remaining ships to be found off limits to hunters?

Farmdigger-I am not certain them have been claimed. I do need to correct myself. There were 12 boats, 11 perished, 4 have been found. They went down in Dec. 1715 if I remember correctly.

7 remaing....that would be an amazing find. The four found ships where about were they found in the sand or a wet salty grave. I live in rockport about 3hrs from padre.
