Hi Ridge Runner,

Many thanks. Had a look at the link and it was a machine I had looked up before. I think I eliminated it because of the focus on treasure hunting as opposed to prospecting. Would it work for deeper nuggets? of  a reasonable size. We do not imagine treasure chests etc where we are situated.

Ok then try one of these, they make many models so let us know what you think,

Hi Ridge Runner
The GPX is fantastic and we still use it. It was our first machine and we have had great finds with it. It is limited in the depths that can be attained and we then decided to look for something else and that is how we arrived at OKM Rover Gold Cry

What we do here in OZ is after using the SD/GP/GPX series detector on a patch, we are taking a layer of soil of about 20-25 cm with a bulldoze.
Then detect again.
Pain-full, expensive, but if you are on a patch, it works.
It’s perhaps the ONLY way to go deeper

I agree, If My machine or a GPX wont find it then its time to peel back the history and Detect it again, I see some Guy in Oz going down over 5 meters that way and all you can do is keep going till you hit the bed rock, and then you either move over a few meters of break out the Nitro   ,   Cheesy Cheesy

All I know is that Gold on the African Continent Goes down Deeper, and that might be because its rock structure is a lot stronger than the rest of the world so the Gild could not make it up to the surface,

I know your not looking for treasure chests, but it will see Items the size of 75mm square at 4 feet and at a cost of £500 +/-, what is the Average size Gold that you find because that will dictate as to what machine you need,

The correct way to do this is how Myself and nickel_n Said , Because that way you are always working on flat ground and there is no Risk of Tunnels Caving In,

Maybe you should try Nugget finder coils, I Know Detech Made some Chest mounted Detectors with 1 meter square coils that went down a long way,  Have a look at Joan Allen .com as they where also the Minelab Importers/Dealers,

good Luck

Hello, sorry if I sound negative but the OKM products are mainly a hoax. Better sell it and buy a Minelab GPX.

Just curious fellows, so please don't "bite me head off" when I ask you this question."Why does Kellyco sell them?(besides profit)". Quite a steep price for sure. My teeth almost fell out of my mouth when I saw it. He didn't say what version he had did he? Some of them look like they came out of a Star Trek movie. One does look like a metal detector though. I wouldn't pay that exorbitant price for one. ($10,999).

Here are a couple of product statements that confuse the heck out of me. Crazy

auto reversal electronics
No technical manual required. (Yet they supply one)

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Carl, Detech the coil people make a chest mounted version with many different size coils and they are about half that price,

Yes I totally agree with you that Detech would definitely be the better buy. But what is hard for me to understand is the logic in a reputable dealer chancing ruining their reputation over selling overpriced junk that doesn't perform. Or maybe is it just because it is overpriced? (Not in love with Kellyco at all you know. No no!).

Carl, A couple of years ago we had the Kellyco Chick here as she is a member, And To Say she was A Babe is a gross under statement, Then I found older posts of the Kellyco Chick on other forums and each time she had a different name So I found 3 or 4 Kellyco chicks all using the same Photo but using different Names, Here's Her Profile but if you go on other forums you will see her name changes,

Using this as A Template of their ethic's I would not put any stock into what they say, Dollars are the only thing they give a stuff about, IE the other day I was on their site and I was looking for a review on one of my machines and they just copy and pasted the review for the TDI PRO which the only thing it has in common with my machine is the coil.

anyway you get the idea,

Thanks AU.

I gotcha. Guess they don't care much about their rep.

Carl

I hate it when they use sex to sell products. I haven't ever found any when I got home and opened the package. Cheesy
