Go Up Go Down

My coil wire had a kink right at the insertion of the box. I figured I'd try and save $300 and try and fix it myself. I learned a lot and was pissed at myself yesterday but this morning I got it all back together and she works better than ever!
If anyone is thinking of doing this same fix, feel free to ask me questions. I don't know much but after you take apart and put back together a machine five times, you've got to learn something.

Did you resolder the wires?

Yes I cut off 6" of broken cord and re soldered the four wires to the board. I tried to get it right the first time but I messed up one of the connections on the back of the vertically mounted boar. So I had to take the knobs off and pop off the face to get access to the back of that board.

No foil sheath. There's a Kevlar/nylon sheath that goes around two black wires. In one of the black wires there's a white wire and some other loose wire. In the other black wire there's a red wire and loose wire.
I've been trying to build this PI machine called the Blind Squirrel. I wound a coil for it and burned the PC board, built it all up and I can't get it to work.

We learn from the DIY repairs.
I used to buy vintage Shimano fishing reels and would fix them up.
I learned how to take them apart with my eyes closed.
Glad you were able to get it fixed up.
Now you can get out there to dig em up.

Nope. I put the Blind Squirrel back in a time capsule box and buried it in the ground. If I build another it will be from a kit. I also am wondering if there's any way to get a coil and headphones to communicate with my iPhone. Kind of like the XP Deus. Maybe Bluetooth?
