One of the first things you notice about these so called treasures in the Philippines is that the concrete is always miraculously hardened to the point that a diamond drill bends in half on it, the gold is just out of reach when the rains came, they dug to 60 feet and found wine bottles, there is poison gas & traps to be overcome and you are led to believe that the Japanese did all this while in battle and fleeing for their lives.

Eventually, there is a plea for just a bit of help in digging all these verified stacks of gold bars. It's all just a bunch of fairy dust.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
