Hello Geene,

the Pulse Star II is a very good machine indeed. You just will have to make sure it is turned / adjusted properly. It will e.g. react very sensible to ceramics pieces etc.

I hope you will find great treasure! Please keep us posted!

Best wishes and good luck,

Christian

A friend told me the same and the metal detectors producer told me that this machine borns turned inside for european dirty soil.
I don't know how to perfectly turn it more that I can do with external controls (grouns, sens, disc.). Always hope this detector doesn't cause me any problem!

Yes, I've heard about some "legends" between Mexico and Guatemala and, luckily, my girlfriend's dad told me about some points to check, but I don't really know what I'm looking for!

I'd say that with the history and legends of the area that anyplace would be a great place to start.  As far as the points your girlfriends dad gave you to check...if it was information about an event, area, or certain point in time then I'd start by checking the libraries or even talking to some of the locals to gain as much information on that point as possible.
