A Name would be nice here in Introductions.   Tell us a bit more about your self.  What do you like to hunt?  All your secret Goody places?  Treasure Maps, you have?   Some Thing!

Wellcome from New Mexico.   Just something more then Elloe would be nice.

Hi, twofingers.   We do have members up in the Victoria, BC area, so you just might here from them.  Of course, they might be a bit more likely to respond if you followed Homie's advice and told us a wee bit more about what type of partner you're looking for and what they can expect.

 kind of slow at this,not a wizz at a computer i"am a twofingers pick at keys started detected when I lived on Padre Island Texas where I got started in in med 70s Spent 1 1/2 years there. Hope to get into detecting full time, there is lots of old areas on the Island,  hope to try them out. My new detector is a under water cobra I bought it from Kellyco out of Florida. old coins that i"am mostly interested in. I will be 71 on the 25th of Aug. And a very active 70,still do home repairs to past the time. Maybe detecting will take its  place.

Go Up Go Down

Don't do yourself down Two Fingers, I am same age as you and endeavouring to pull it all together. Built up a collection of about 120 rings mostly from under the sea in six months.
Fortunately at one of those lovely Mediterranean  islands where no ones else seemed to have a detector, however, I did note only one who swung his detector across the sand like incense holder, never came closer than about 6 inches from the surface of the sand.
But back to the story. I loved those rings, and many of them I could remember the day, conditions and weather when found. I use to call them my 'babies'. Unfortunately when the price of gold went
up to $1925 per US troy ounce, greed got the better of me and I sold the lot. Fortunately the majority of the rings were 18ct so I was getting top dollar, in a manner of speaking. Suffice to say, I sold the lot off over four days and banked almost £10,000. I could not believe the amount of money I received for something that I loved doing and spent many happy hours doing it.
Sounds like a bit of a tale, but I kid you not. However, I have been in the UK for the past 15 years, and where I live, I have only found 7 gold rings in all that time. So you could say, there are 'good times and bad!!!'
But, welcome to the forum and all the very best for the future. May your finds be many.
PS: Don't waste too much time fixing the house javascript:void(0);
