Any news on Oak Island?

(1/1)

Christian:
I just wondered if anybody has any news about recent disoveries regarding Oak Island? It seems to have turned a little bit quiet about Oak Island in recent years.

Regards,

Christian

n4N224CCW:
The status of the current treasure hunters are the following:

Robert Young, Fredrick Nolan, and Oak Island Tours Inc all applied for a treasure trove licenses (TTL) in 2008.

For whatever the reason, the Nova Scotia museum did not wave the Heritage Research Permit for this round of TTL applications and therefore demanded an archaeological assessment before approving the Heritage Research Permit (needed for the TTL)

Oak Island Tours Inc has complied with the demand, hired someone recommended by the museum, and submitted a report. Last word in Jan is for their Heritage Research permit to have been approved by the museum.

Fredrick Nolan has supposedly challenged/or challenging in court the museum?s demands.

No information is known of Robert Young?s progress.

Oak Island Tours Inc?s application must now be approved by the government. This is expected to happen soon and providing a Provincial election does not get in the way.

As you can see, it isn?t so easy to go and sink a shovel in NS for the purpose of seeking treasure, providing they want to keep the majority of what they find.
