Nice find, Xavier!  We called them "entrenching tools" in the US Army.   When I got into MDing I got one and used it a lot over the years.  If you can keep the knob tight you can do anything with one!

That's Very Cool X-Dude, About 3 or 4 years ago I bought one In Brand New Condition Complete with The Green Leather Pouch.

Mine was made In 1964 Judging by the Date On It.

If you Look at the one with my Hand In, You will see me Pressing the spring Loaded Button which has a Square Shaft that Locks the Blades In Place.

Yeah, I don't know how Tough they Are But It's Built Like A Tank, and Heavy Too   :o   But I don't think it will Break easily.

Went detecting yesterday to give it a try not to mention that the weather was good for a change. The spade works well but it's griped, I will need to find a way to get it to loosen up so that I can fold it up.

Soak it with WD40 or Diesel Mate that should loosen it up
