Thought I'd share this with you. Haven't found much info on this yet, but looked kinda cool. Maybe from the 50's or so?
It's made of a super thin metal, tin? maybe. Had to flatten it out a bit.
Anyone else dig one of these?

Hm, that is interesting.  My grandmother had told me that her aunt used to feed their chickens milk, after milking some cows if there was some leftover milk.  It is a bit unusual today, but it has been done.

That does look interesting though!! Wink

Hello capnrich . Interesting find !! To me that could be from the 1920's . Could be a tin label from a wooden shipping crate or container , or label from old machinery ? I think it is much older than the 1950's .
HH ............. Great............Regards........Eugene

capnrich;

Milk fed chickens is not too strange.... I once knew an Italian, from Abruzzi, who said his mother won prizes, every year, for her milk and cheese fed turkeys. I asked him how did they taste... he said he never ate meat until he went to work, in the mines, at 12 yrs!

It just goes to show, somebody ate those milk fed birds! Funny

I prefer moose.

Thanks for the input guys! I just love these mysteries that are coming out of the ground. The area we found this in was indeed old farmland. Chicken coops and truck farming. Didn't find much else that day, but as always...I'll go back and hit it again! Wink

Yep!   USDA would just hire 10 more flunkies to do the field work so the Big Boys can sit back smoke Cigars and tell every one what a good jog there  doing! Shocked
