First time out. I was at it for about 10 minutes and had a good hit. First shovel hit hard so I gently dug up the treasure and it was one of those old hand held rock boring "X" pattern drill bits. Definatly hand held. and  been there for a while. neat for the first time. No camera so no pics. Maybe when I go back in a couple of weeks I will get a photo. It was found near a large quartz rock.

Nice find! A star drill can cost a pretty penny. Is it still usable?

It is at my moms house 200 miles away. I plan on being there in the next few weeks again so I will get photos then.

Are you getting an error response when you try  or just having a hard time figuring out where to start?

If the problem is figuring out how to start, check out these two links from previous posts (I'm sure there are others, but these were handy):

My computer is a POS. It is gloged full of pictures all over the place plus I am about as useless as hen poop on a pump handle when it comes to using a computer. I will read through the links and see if I can figure this out.

If you are following the directions and are getting errors, chances are your pictures are too large and need to be re-sized.  GD (GoldDigger1950) has made a utility available to members that is easy to use and handles that particular problem very nicely.
