Go Up Go Down

Morning folks,

I have access to lot's of old homesteads & adobe ruins that are on private property. Too many to show here. BUT if you want to see them and offer advice as to which to do 1st & how, then I'd sure appreciate it.

If you look in my profile, you'll see a link to my new Treasure Hunting website. Go to our "Photo" section, then click on Larry's Treasure album.

Thanks for everybody's input

Here's one Pic.

Go Up Go Down

Do a spot check and see which old house has more interesting old artifacts.  If there was a spring get an old map and search that first.  Water was very precious in the old days so everybody would stop and refresh the stock and themselves.  Go out the back door and look for an area you would put an outhouse.  Use a two box metal detector if you have to find it, sometimes you can.  Don't forget to detect the walls of these old adobes.  Clean the area up of all the surface junk first thing.  Then wear an apron or canvas bag to collect all the junk you dig.  A year from now you don't want to have to go back and dig this same junk again.  If you can't dispose of the junk properly then just fill a depression up.  I go out of my way to get rid of broken glass, barbed wire and other stuff that can hurt animals and people.  This way the gods may smile down upon you and reward you with a nice Carson City mint silver dollar.
